WKCL is a non-profit community service outreach with two means of support:
1. Direct contributions from individuals and families.
2. Underwriting grants from Christian businesses and congregations sponsoring the various programs.

WKCL Radio reaches a weekly audience of 42,000 people in the Charleston market. Through underwriting, Christian businesses are able to support WKCL while the audience becomes familiar with Christ-centered businesses and those businesses receive exposure to the Charleston Christian community.
The concept of underwriting is sponsorship, rather than advertising. Your business receives on-air recognition for its participation in underwriting WKCL's programs. WKCL does not sell air time for programs or for commercial announcements.
Underwriters receive:
1. On-air recognition through identification tags and listening posts, based on dollar support.
2. An identification tag noting your business name, phone number and locations will then be aired according to the program(s) you have chosen to support.
3. A listing in our monthly newsletter distributed to more than 6,500 homes and businesses.
4. Listing on WKCL Web home.
5. A tax deductible receipt.
What is involved in underwriting?
1. Your business contributes on a monthly basis for the air time of a particular program or for support of WKCL's production costs.
2. An agreement is then signed by you, the underwriter executive and a WKCL offical. The first month's payment is also due at this time.
3. For a contribution of $50 or more per month, a 45-second on-air testimonial called a "Listening Post", where a pre-recorded interview with you will be recorded and will air four times a month. The listening post follows all Federal regulations and includes your business name, phone number, location, function, and reason for supporting WKCL.
Your support of this ministry strengthens it financially and enables us to creatively pursue new areas of ministry, as well as improve WKCL's broadcast programming. Together we can effectively work in the name of Jesus Christ to touch the lives of WKCL listeners.
